Opening Night
ADELAIDE FRINGE OPENING NIGHT: FRIDAY 19 FEB

The Adelaide Fringe kicks off in spectacular and colourful style from 7pm with everyone from clowns to dancers and dinosaurs joining in the
Adelaide Fringe Opening Parade.
With 80,000 spectators expected and 1500 performers ready to entertain over the parade’s hour-and-a-half duration, preparation is key for this mission.
After the Fringe Parade, get your dancing shoes on for the free
Opening Night Concert from 8.30pm to late at Rymill Park (Mullawirraburka). Intergalactically awesome artists performing are
Art vs. Science, The Killaqueenz, The Killgirls, Canvas Kites and Spin DJ Comp winner
Sanchez.
GETTING THERE
FAMILIES
The Adelaide Fringe recommends families arrive early and be in position by 6pm, with access from Rundle Road, Kent Town. The best family-friendly vantage points on the eastern end of Rundle Rd (Rymill Park side) and on the corner of Grenfell St and Hutt St. View the
Parade Route.
DRY ZONE
Rymill Park will be a dry zone for the duration of Opening Night. There will be bars with alcohol available for purchase however you cannot bring your own.

Thinking about drinking? Don't take the car.
After you've had all the fun you can possibly have, you need to head home and get some rest before hitting the Fringe up the
next day.
LATE NIGHT BUS SERVICE
As a special initiative brought to you by the Motor Accident Commission and Adelaide Fringe, the Adelaide Metro late night bus service will be running for Friday Feb 19 until the early hours of Saturday Feb 20. Buses will be running between midnight and approximately 4.45am,
check out the timetable and catch the bus home!
